This year, Qatar makes its debut on the world’s most prestigious gastronomic stage as it hosts its first-ever Bocuse d'Or National Selection during Hospitality Qatar 2025.

This milestone marks a new chapter in the country’s culinary journey, offering Qatar-based chefs a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to showcase their talent and represent the nation in one of the world’s most elite culinary competitions.

Described as the ‘Olympics of Haute Cuisine,’ the Bocuse d’Or gathers the finest chefs from across the globe in a live, stadium-style arena that celebrates technical mastery, innovation, and artistic flair.
The competition will take place live on the exhibition floor at Hospitality Qatar 2025, creating a dynamic, high-energy culinary arena where passion meets precision.
Participating chefs will be evaluated by a jury of esteemed culinary professionals, judged on technical skill, creativity, taste, presentation, and adherence to the spirit of Paul Bocuse.

• 5 teams will compete, each consisting of a main chef assisted by a commis
• Competitors will prepare a main platter within a strict time limit
• Judging will follow the official Bocuse d’Or scoring framework
• All dishes will be presented in front of a live audience of industry professionals and culinary enthusiasts

Celebrating Qatar’s deep maritime heritage, this year’s Bocuse d’Or theme highlights the richness of the Arabian Gulf. Chefs will be challenged to create their masterpieces using local fish exclusively, transforming the bounty of Qatari waters into world-class culinary innovation.

Inspired by the spirit of the desert, the Pastry World Cup Qatar Selection celebrates dates as the hero ingredient — the fruit of hospitality in Qatari culture. Competitors will be asked to reimagine this symbol of tradition into contemporary pastry art that blends creativity, flavor, and identity.
